Manufactured in accordance with various British and International Standards, our photovoltaic cables include EN50618 standard, under the harmonised reference H1Z2Z2-K. They are for applications typical of solar farms and rooftop solar installations, providing the interconnection of photovoltaic power generation systems and the solar panel arrays. This robust outdoor cable range is designed to withstand severe environmental conditions and degradation from UV light exposure.
EN 50618 superseded the solar cable approvals of PV1-F cable from TÜV Rheinland Group. As with the TUV certified cables, the EN50618 solar cable range have undergone a rigorous manufacturing and testing audit programme to deliver a quality cable with an anticipated lifespan of circa 25 years. This is consistent with the quality standards we set for all of our products.

EN 50618 AD8 Solar Cables
Tailoring the solar cable specification to the environmental and installation parameters supports performance. Where cables are subject to permanent submersion in water, we offer an AD8-rated solar PV cable - an enhanced version of our standard solar cable which is rated AD7 for temporary or partial immersion.
Our cables hold Construction Products Regulation (CPR) ratings for where the installation is laid or terminated inside a building, but we also offer cables with higher classifications to suit country-specific or installation design requirements.
