Power Network & Local Distribution Cable
We supply a range of power network cables for Distribution Network Operators (DNO), and local power distribution system cabling for the Building & Construction industry. Our cables are manufactured in accordance with a number of British, European and International standards including BS7870 and IEC60502.
Eland Cables’ range of Copper (Cu) and Aluminium (Al) Concentric and Split Concentric cables to BS7870 and 11kV and 33kV cables specifically designed and approved for use on the areas of the UK national grid maintained and operated by UKPN, SSE, WPD, NPG, ENW and SPEN. These DNOs to provide the final connection to residential, commercial and industrial properties. Local network distribution cables are also used for sub-main distribution and for street lighting. These are available with oversheathing in Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH). Low Voltage Waveform cables are also available for each of the UK DNOs.
Local power distribution cables are available with Copper and Aluminium conductors, solid, stranded or sectorial-shaped in design depending on construction, core number and nominal cross-sectional size. Manufactured with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation, they are afforded additional protection by fillers and/or metallic tape and armour, and have either PVC or LSZH oversheaths.

The Cable Lab® our in-house cable testing facility, is UKAS-accredited to ISO 17025, which is the single most important standard for calibration and testing laboratories around the world. Accreditation to this international standard demonstrates our laboratory's technical competence and the accuracy of its results.
For our customers, it means peace of mind. They can have full confidence in the quality of our products and can demonstrate due diligence in selecting their cable supplier.
