• Application: Medium voltage power cables for National Grid Energy Distribution (NGED) controlled networks.
• Suitability: For connections from existing grid to new sub-main developments.
• Standards & Voltage Ratings: BS 7870-4.10. 6.35/11kV or 19/33kV.
• Construction: Class 1 solid aluminium or Class 2 rigid stranded copper conductors with Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulation, Copper wire and tape screen, Binding tape separator, and Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) outer sheath.
• Details: G81 approved manufacturing. 11kV is in a triplex formation and 33kV is single core. Available from stock.

National Grid Energy Distribution (NGED) was formerly known as Western Power Distribution WPD, and is one of the UK's Distribution Network Operators, delivering electricity to 7.8 million homes in the Midlands, South-West of England, and Wales. DNO-approved NGED specification 11kV and 33kV cables must be used for installations in this area from the existing grid to new sub-main developments.
