BS7919 Cable

Flexible industrial cables for equipment and appliances with a voltage rating of up to 450/750V.

BS7919 standard cable

Cables manufactured in accordance with British Standard BS7919 are designed for ordinary duty applications when of a voltage rating 300/500V and heavy duty installations for voltage ratings of 450/750V. They are generally used in environment requiring both flexibility and resistance to mechanical abrasion. This includes equipment connection such as power generators and lighting. 

This standard was withdrawn in 2012 and superseded in part by BS EN 50525, however it is still widely referred to in the cable industry.

BS7919 cable designations
