309-Y / H05V2V2-F Cable

The 309-Y is a heat resistant flexible copper conductor cable manufactured in accordance with standard BS EN 50525 Part 2-11 designed for internal wiring or supply cords to medium size electrical apparatus.

With a voltage rating of 300/500V, the 309-Y cable is suitable for use where there is low risk of mechanical stresses in the application, such as on portable tools, washing machines, and other domestic appliances. This cable is not suitable for outdoor use or for direct laying on trays or in racks.

With its heat-resistant insulation and outersheath, the 309-Y PVC cable has a temperature rating when flexed of between 0^oC and +90^oC, making it particularly well suited to fluctuating and high temperature environments such as near storage heaters and cookers. We conduct thermal stability testing in our cable laboratory as part of our QA protocols to confirm it meets the performance standards required.

The 309-Y cable is available in a number of core sizes, with the most common cross-sectional conductor sizes being 0.75mm², 1mm², 1.5mm² and 2.5mm².
