The 309-Y / H05V2V2-F is a Harmonised European standard low voltage heat-resistant flexible power cable. Manufactured in accordance with standard BS EN 50525 Part 2-11, this cable is designed for internal wiring or supply cords to medium size electrical apparatus. This cable is also Flame Retardant according to IEC/EN 60332-1-2 and is CPR compliant.
The 309-Y / H05V2V2-F cable is available in a number of core sizes, with the most common cross-sectional conductor sizes being 0.75mm2, 1mm2, 1.5mm2 and 2.5mm2.
With a voltage rating of 300/500V, the 309-Y cable is suitable for use where there is low risk of mechanical stresses in the application, such as on portable tools, washing machines, and other domestic appliances. This cable is not suitable for outdoor use or for direct laying on trays or in racks.
With its heat-resistant insulation and outersheath, the H05V2V2-F PVC cable has a temperature rating when flexed of between 0oC and +90oC, making it particularly well suited to fluctuating and high temperature environments such as near storage heaters and cookers.
