N2XSEY XLPE PVC - 6/10 (12)kV Cable
N2XSEY cables manufactured in accordance with European Standard VDE 0276 Part 620 are three-core class 2 stranded bare copper medium voltage cable. They have a cross-linked polyethylene (PE) insulation and a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) oversheath, which makes them particular easy to lay even in difficult line guideways and in temperatures as low as -5oC.
N2XSEY cables are widely used in the building and construction, renewable energy, and power transmission industries where the cables can be laid directly into the ground or cable ducts. They are also suitable for fixed installations where they are fully submerged in water.
This range of Medium Voltage cables is manufactured in accordance with VDE 0482-332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1, making it flame retardant and self-extinguishing. Its red oversheath is not UV resistant, preventing installation of the cable in direct sunlight.

The N2XSEY cable has an inner and outer layer of semi-conductive material. The outer layer also has a tape preventing internal discharges and to maintain operational reliability. A copper wire screen provides additional light mechanical strength.

The NA2XSEY cable is a cost-efficient aluminium alternative to the N2XSEY cable on projects where space is not a constraint given the larger overall diameter of aluminium cables with the same voltage rating.
