N2XSEY cables are three-core class 2 stranded copper medium voltage cables manufactured in accordance with IEC 60502-2 and HD 620 10C.
They are the three-core variants of the cable N2XSY where the 'E' in the designation refers to each of the three cores being individually screened.
N2XSEY cables are widely used in the building and construction, renewable energy, and power transmission industries where the cables can be laid directly into the ground or cable ducts.
Being flame retardant and self-extinguishing, these Medium Voltage cables are compliant with the standard IEC 60332-1.
N2XSEY have Class 2 copper conductors covered with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation. Each individual core has a copper wire screen, and then the three cores are covered with a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) oversheath.
As with all MV cables, there is an inner and outer layer of semi-conductive material to smooth out the internal discharges and maintain operational reliability.
These cables use German nomenclature, as explained in the table below.
