(N)GRDGOU and (N)GRDGCGOU Chain Cables

(N)GRDGOU and (N)GRDGCGOU are crane cable providing power and control.

(N)GRDGOU and (N)GRDGCGOU Cable Specification

Commonly used in festoon systems for overhead gantries and industrial handling equipment, and in heavy-duty container cranes, these cables have applications across heavy industry, including mining and ship-to-shore marine loading. They are commonly referred to as Chain cables.

Both the (N)GRDGOU and (N)GRDGCGOU cables have a rugged and robust rubber outer sheathing to protect the conductors during repeated flexing, with the (N)GRDGCGOU also having a tinned copper wire braid to provide electromagnetic screening for control signals in close proximity to power cables.

As with all crane cables, they can operate under high mechanical stress, with torsional stresses of up of ± 90°/m, tensile loads of 15N/mm², and travel speeds of up to 240m per minute. Their robust and flexible construction suits applications in dry, damp or wet rooms and in wet industrial conditions. Both cables come in black as standard.

(N)GRDGOU and (N)GRDGCGOU Voltage Ratings

The Chain Cables on this page have different voltage ratings, with cable selection depending on the installation parameters.

The (N)GRDGOU Cable has a rated voltage of 300/500V.

The (N)GRDGCGOU Cable has a rated voltage of 0.6/1kV.
