The N2XBY cable is a European standard low voltage power cable manufactured in accordance with DIN VDE 0276-603 for installations with a rated voltage of 0.6/1kV. Like the N2XBH cable LSZH equivalent, it provides for mechanical protection to the conductor through the application of a double layer of galvanised steel tape (GSTA). The N2XBY cable are used across construction projects for power distribution, with the cable suitable for dry and damp environments, including where it is buried in cable ducts. Galvanised steel tape provides a lighter weight armoured cable than when compared to traditional steel or aluminium wires but in certain circumstances it may not be appropriate for direct burial.
The N2XBY cable is supplied with copper conductors but an aluminium equivalent in both PVC and LSZH sheathing is also available upon request. With its XLPE insulation, the cable has a maximum operating temperature of 90oC.

N2XBY cables are available with 2 cores as below. The N2XBY cable also comes in variants of 3 cores, 3 cores with reduced earth, 4 cores and 5 cores. Larger sizes are also available upon request.
