MCMO cables are Finnish reference low voltage power cables, designed for control and signalling functions in electrical power applications with a voltage rating of 450/750V.
They are manufactured in conformance with HD 627 S1:1996/A2:2005 Part 7 Section D-2.
They are suitable for indoor installations, as well as being UV resistant and so appropriate for external use. They are also suitable for direct burial underground under Finnish construction regulations. These cables have a low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) inner and outer sheath along with fire retardant properties.
Their multi-core Class 1 solid copper conductor construction makes them a comparatively rigid cable, with a bending radius of 12x OD during installation and 8x OD during operation, although their small cross-sectional sizes of 1.5mm2 and 2.5mm2 will counter this.
