KEMA Approved Cables

KEMA approval is recognised as the key independent Dutch third-party accreditation, particularly when working on low voltage installation projects.

KEMA Approved cables

KEMA approvals are issued by DNV GL, the Norwegian registrar and classification society headquartered in Oslo. The certification of cables is part of the DNV GL Energy business.

KEMA approval offers an additional layer of quality assurance for installations in the Netherlands, with cables having been independently assessed under manufacturer. Type Testing and determined to have met the standards and criteria necessary for compliance.

Eland Cables’ portfolio of KEMA approved cables covers a number of Low Smoke Zero Halogen cables with a voltage rating of 0.6/1kV, including the Ymz1K mbzh cable. They are compliant with NEN1010, the Dutch low voltage wiring regulations for fixed installations, and so are in prominent use in the data centres currently under construction in the Netherlands. Where a specific cable with KEMA approval not listed on here is required, please contact our team who will be happy to help source an appropriate cable solution.
