Suitability: For use as voice alarm cables, fire alarm cables and as emergency lighting cables to provide circuit integrity for designated periods of time in the event of fire.
Standards & Voltage Rating: BS7629-1. BS6387 (Single core). 300/500V (Standard & Enhanced). 450/750V
Construction: Copper conductor, High performance fire resistant Silicone Rubber insulation, Aluminium/Polyester Tape (Al/PET) screen, Tinned copper circuit protective conductor, and Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) outer sheath. Enhanced Cables and Single core BS6387 have an additional barrier of Mica glass tape to further protect the conductor and aid circuit integrity.

Eland Cables supplies a comprehensive fire performance cable portfolio including Standard grade and Enhanced grade fire resistant control cables to cable design standard BS7629-1 (as described in BS8519), available for next-day delivery from stock. These cables are BASEC approved, and we supply LPCB certified products that meet testing standards including EN 50200 (PH30 and PH60 for standard, PH120 for enhanced, Annex E for standard fire, impact and water), and BS6387 (category C,W,Z).

Sheathed in a soft-skin Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) thermoplastic compound, they have applications including as voice alarm cables, fire alarm cables and as emergency lighting cables.

In accordance with BS5839-1, the Standard Fire Resistant Cable is generally used for single phase evacuation buildings, and is insulated with high performance silicone rubber. The Enhanced Fire Resistant cable, with its mica glass tape layer wrapped around the conductor to provide an additional fire barrier, can be used in instances requiring further prolonged use.
