RV-AL / LXV 0.6/1kV Cable

Designed for electricity supply in low voltage installations the RV-AL Cable, also known by it's Portuguese designation of LXV Cable, can be used indoors, outdoors, in cable ducts or underground where there is no risk of mechanical damage. 

The RV-AL cable is commonly specified for use in switching substations, energy utility grids, industrial plants, and in photovoltaic installations. The cable is UV Resistant making it a suitable option for external installations in open air.

RV-AL Cable / LXV Cable Specification

The RV-AL cable has a voltage rating of 0.6/1kV and consists of a single Class 2 stranded circular Aluminium conductor core, with Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulation underneath a Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) type ST2 outer sheath. The RV-AL / LXV cable itself is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60502-1 and is both CPR compliant and CE Marked, meeting the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive. The XLPE insulation allows for a maximum conductor temperature of 90°C, whilst the PVC outer sheath is robust and flame retardant to UNE-EN/IEC 60332-1-2 (listed under the Spanish/European standard). This is similar in construction to the NA2XY cable.
