NF C33-224 NF C33-225 Cable for Airfield Lighting

This French standard Airfield lighting cable meets the requirements of standard NF C33 224.

NF C33-224 & NF C33-225 Cable Voltage Rating

Normes Francais dictate that NF C33 224 is applicable for cables of a rated voltage 3.6/6 (7.2kV) whilst NF C33 225 is for cables of a rated voltage 6/10 (12kV). 

NF C33-224 & NF C33-225 Cable Specification

Designed for connecting primary lighting equipment series circuits, both constant current regulators and isolating transformers, it is both impact resistant and weather resistant. The cables are suitable for static and dynamic applications, when used within appropriate bending radius.

Unusually for a cable it has both insulation and sheathing of XLPE (cross-linked Polyethylene) but other materials including PVC and Halogen free compounds are available upon request. 

As with all the medium voltage airfield lighting cables (including RHV & RHZ1 and FLYCY & FL2XCY), the RG7H1R cables have a metallic screen of copper tapes. Alternatively copper wires can be use if specified at point of quotation.
