The ARE4H1R cables are manufactured in accordance with IEC 60502-2 for Medium Voltage Cables, and generally to HD620-10I1.
They use the Italian nomenclature for cable names, and are offered as single core cables in voltages of 12/20kV and 18/30kV, across a range of conductor cross-sectional area sizes.
Designed for power distribution projects, these cables can be installed in underground channels in accordance with Art. 4.3.11 of CEI 11-17. They can provide both infrastructure and equipment power, and are commonly specified in wind farms and wind power plants as connections to sub-stations.
ARE4H1R cables have Class 2 rigid stranded Aluminium conductors, XLPE insulation, and PVC outer sheathing. This PVC sheathing provides robust environmental protections. Screening comes from a layer of Copper wires and tape, with a semi-conductive waterblocking tape laid underneath to assist in protecting against water ingress in the event of damage.
