The S-3GSHCOEU & S-3GSHXOEU cables - sometimes seen written as S-3GSHCÖU / S-3GSHXÖU - are low voltage flexible copper power cables for use in wind turbines (windmills), manufactured in accordance with American standard UL 758 and DIN VDE 0250.

These flexible copper conductor cables are designed for wind farm applications with a voltage rating of 600/1000V 0.6/1kV, in installations under medium mechanical stresses.

The S-3GSHCOEU is a single core cable with a CPE (Chlorosulphonated Polyethylene) outer sheath. The CPE sheathing of the S-3GHSCOEU cable is ideal for outdoor use in wind turbine applications, offering low water absorption properties, high resistance to ozone and weathering, and has mechanical resistance to impact, abrasion, crushing & chipping. It also offers a wide temperature range, suited to the environment it is likely installed into, and has excellent fire resistance properties.

The S-3GHSCOEU cable also benefits from the addition of a tinned copper wire braid which offers electromagnetic screening against adjacent power and signalling interference.

The S-3GHSXOEU cable has an EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) sheathing that provides offers excellent thermal resistance and similar flexibility even at low temperatures, along with water resistance and ozone resistance. It also offers high tensile strength. This cable is offered in both single and multicore variants.
