- Construction: Class 2 Aluminium conductor, Hard Ethylene Propylene Rubber (HEPR) or Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulation, and Polyolefin (PO) type HXM1 or Cross-linked Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate (XL-EVA) outer sheath. XL-EVA cable also has a Tinned wire copper braid (TCWB) screen.
- Details: Single and multi-core configurations. Withstands environmental challenges and mechanical stresses. Oil, ozone and UV Resistant.

Our Aluminium Turbine Tower cables are low voltage power distribution cables with a rated voltage of 0.6/1kV. They are designed to power the motors and mechanisms of wind turbines. These applications require cables capable of withstanding the environmental challenges and mechanical stresses they are subject to.
Our Aluminium Turbine Tower cables are part of our wider portfolio of wind turbine and windfarm cables, including our Copper Conductor Torsion Resistant Power, S-3GSHCOEU & S3GSHXOEU cables, and our wider Medium Voltage and Low Voltage power, control and data cables for safe and remote operations.
The LSZH sheathing on these Turbine Tower power cables provides durable protection suited to internal installations within the body or nacelle of the turbine. The Aluminium conductors make them lightweight.
The outer sheathing material depends on the cable type: the HEPR-PO 0.6/1kV cable has a hard Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulation, a rubber inner sheath, and a Polyolefin outer sheath.
The XL-EVA-LSZH cable (voltage rating 0.6/1kV) has an EPR insulation layer but a Cross-linked Ethylene Vinyl Acetate sheathing (XL-EVA).
In both cases, the cable sheathing materials offer good chemical resistance, thermal and mechanical properties, and in these compounds are halogen free and flame retardant.
The XL-EVA-LSZH 1kV cable is also constructed with a tinned copper wire braid metallic screen to limit electromagnetic interference and signal interruption.
Our HEPR-PO-1kV cable is available in sizes 1x50mm to 1x400mm2, as well as in 3x150mm2 and 4x150mm2 (as commonly requested for windfarm projects). Our XL-EVA-LSZH 1kV cable is provided as 1x150mm2 to 1x400mm2 as standard.
