FLU Ultra Thin Wall Automotive Cables
Whilst in many cases an automotive application will call for standard insulation thickness or reduced insulation thickness wires, on occasion where there are severe space constraints it will demand an ultra-thin wall cable.
FLU Automotive Cable Specification
Prefixed with FLU - 'FL' referencing Automotive wires and 'U' denoting the ultra-thin insulation, these cables are single core low tension wires with flexible stranded conductors.
Our offering has a tinned silver conductor and FEP insulation, the short name for Tetrafluoroethylene hexafluoropropylene. The FEP insulation is designated by the code 6Y, making this cable FLU6Y. It offers heat resistance to 200oC and can operate in temperatures as low as -40oC. As necessary for automotive cables, it has excellent resistance to braking fluids, acids, lyes and fuels. It is manufactured in accordance with ISO 6722 Class F.

Available in a wide range of insulation colours, and in sizes from 0.13mm2 through to 2.50mm2, the FLU6Y is available on short manufacturing lead times and will be supported by technical and Automotive industry experts who can guide on the selection of this or other suitable cables.
