EXCG, EXeCG and EXeCeG Cables

Included in our Medium Voltage range are cables supplied against Belgian references. This includes the EXCG Copper cable with Low Smoke Zero Halogen, flame & fire retardant, sheathing, suitable for internal as well as direct burial power distribution applications. 

Where required, these cables are available with additional longitudinal and radial (transverse) waterblocking properties, where water swellable tapes and/or Al/PET tapes are included in the cable construction. This addition is identified in the cable name.

The EXCG, EXeCG and EXeCeG cables are manufactured in accordance with IEC 60502-2 and Generally to HD 620 10B. 

EXCG Cable Construction

For ease of reference this is the Belgian cable nomenclature explained. As with many cable naming codes, a copper conductor is assumed unless specifically stated otherwise, in this case listed as the letter A. These Belgian reference cables are of the same construction as the N2XSH Cable (and waterblocked variants) that use the German nomenclature.
