2XSLCYRY Cable

The 2XSLCYRY cable is a low voltage cable with flexible Class 5 fine stranded Copper conductors along with tinned copper wires and tape screen, and a galvanised steel wire armour. This combination is not the traditional construction for SWA armoured cables, where the larger Class 2 stranding as used in BS5467 cables is more commonly used, but the flexibility of Class 5 conductors can aid termination in challenging installations. As such, the 2XSLCYRY is generally used for equipment where the connection itself may be subject to mechanical stress or liable to damage.

The XLPE insulation permits an upper limit of +90oC conductor operating temperature, whilst the outer PVC sheathing is both flame retardant and UV resistant, making it suitable for external and internal installations and supports a lower temperature rating of -30oC. 

2XSLCYRY cables are manufactured against the International standard IEC 60502-1, for low voltage cables. Eland Cables supplies the N2XSLCYRY as a 3-core cable, in sizes from the very small 1mm2 up to 150mm2. It is similar to the RVMV-K multicore cable.
