RE-2Y(st)Y are PE insulated and PVC sheathed instrumentation cables manufactured in accordance with British and European standard BS EN 50288. These multi-element metallic cables are designed for the signal transmission in instrumentation, analogue and digital communication, and control applications in process plants such as those found in the petrochemical and power generation industries.
This range of cables is particularly suitable for applications requiring the cable to withstand electromagnetic interference due to their protective screen. RE-2Y(st)Y are suitable for both fixed and mobile installations. Their low values of signal attenuation and low mutual capacitance enable signal transmission over long distances.

RE-2Y(st)Y cables with a blue outer sheath are designed to be suitable for use in intrinsically safe systems. Those with a black outer sheath are UV resistant.
This range of instrumentation cables has a maximum operating temperature rating of 75oC. They generally have a voltage rating of 300V, however we also supply 90V and 500V rated cables upon request.
