Eland Cables' fleet achieves FORS Gold status

The Eland Cables fleet has achieved another milestone accreditation, having been assessed and recognised as meeting the Gold level requirements of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS). We had, until now, held Silver status.

The entire fleet, across all HGVs, specialist unloading vehicles, and delivery vans, are covered by this award - the highest level of the FORS scheme. Working in excess of any legal requirement, this award demonstrates our commitment to promoting best practices in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection within our logistics operations.

Clarke Robinson, Head of Logistics, commented "We know that our logistics operations are second-to-none in terms of on-time deliveries and the service we provide our customers.

In achieving FORS Gold it confirms our position as one of the best at what we do - sitting alongside our ISO 39001 Road Traffic Safety certification, and the IRTE accreditation held by our fleet maintenance garage. It is one more way of demonstrating our commitment to excellence across every aspect of our business."

With our drivers operating across Europe, it's vital they are trained not just to be safe on the road but to ensure safe and secure loading to avoid damage to goods in transit; they’re trained to be able to offer customer service as well as just an off-load when on site. From an environmental perspective too, with Euro6 engines that cut off automatically when idling it reduces both emissions and noise – plus they’re fully tracked for real-time ETAs and instant PODs (proof of delivery) is available.

Our congratulations go to the whole team, including our drivers, on this notable achievement!
