657TQ / 658TQ / 6571TQ - Type SW4 Cables
Eland Cables is a leading supplier of SW4 marine industry cable for power, lighting and control applications, manufactured in accordance with British Standard BS6883. Our range includes armoured (658TQ) and unarmoured (657TQ) cables designed for fixed wiring installations across all areas onboard ships and offshore units, including accommodation and open deck. It also includes the unarmoured 6571TQ, an unarmoured cable designed to prevent the risk of electric shock in the event of fault or surge.
This range of 1000V is heat and oil resistant, and flame retardant (HOFR). It is also halogen-free to reduce the risk to human life or to sensitive equipment by limiting the emission of smoke, noxious fumes and acid forming gases in the event of a fire.
The cables are designed to operate within a temperature range of -40oC to +90oC when flexed.
SW4 cables are ordinary duty cables with an enhanced oil resistance and low smoke and gases emissions when subject to fire. Type SW2 cables for heavy duty requirements are also available.

This range of cables is flame retardant to BS EN 50266-2-2 Category A/F and to IEC 60332-3-22. Their smoke emission is compliant to BS EN /IEC 61034-2, and their corrosive gas emission is compliant to BS EN 50267-2-1 and IEC 60754-1: Acid gas for type SW4 cables (0.5% HCL or less).
This range is approved by the Lloyd's Register.
