AS NZS 5000.2 Cable Voltage Rating

Manufactured in accordance with Australian and New Zealand standard AS NZS 5000.2, the cables have a rated voltage of 450/750V. AS NZS 5000.2 Fixed Wiring cables can be laid in air or installed into conduit, underground cable ducts or even buried direct.

AS NZS 5000.2 Cable Specification

They are designed for use in control circuits, providing low voltage power where the installation is not subject to mechanical stresses or damage. They are deemed suitable for use in national / state electricity authority systems as well as industrial and commercial applications. They are also specified in some mining projects. The insulation layer on these 5000.2 cables may be PVC but they are rated to a maximum operating temperature of +90^oC - higher than many of the European standard cables.

The multicore version of this 5000.2 cable is available in the commonly specified cross-sectional sizes of 1mm², 1.5mm² and 2.5mm² up to 37 cores. Larger core sizes are available, notably in the smaller core configurations. The single core 5000.2 cable is available up to 16mm² as standard.
