The 218-Y (Harmonised European Standard H03VV-F) is a low voltage light duty PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) flexible BASEC-approved cable, designed for use in domestic properties, offices and kitchens.
Manufactured in accordance with EN 50525 standard Part 2-11, it is also flame retardant according to IEC/EN 60332-1-2 and CPR compliant.
The 218-Y / H03VV-F cable is suitable for connecting devices with a voltage rating of 300V that are subjected to low mechanical stress such as table lamps, radios and office equipment.
These cables are commonly referred to according to the number of core (2: 2182Y, 3: 2183Y, 4: 2184Y and 5: 2185Y). They have a temperature rating of of -5oC to +70oC and a minimum bending radius of 6 x overall diameter when flexed. They are supplied with a white or with a black PVC outer sheath.
