- Construction: Step-Index Single-Mode fibre, Loose tube Polyethylene (PE) fibre carrier, Single Continuous Non-Metallic strength member, Water blocking, Polyester Tape (PET) separator, and Polyethylene (PE) or Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) sheathing. Corrugated Steel/Polymer Laminate Tape armoured option available.
- Details: Network Rail approved. Armoured cables provide protection from rodents as well as against environmental and mechanical stresses.

Our trackside fibre communications cables are for use in high-traffic and high data-rate requirements and Fixed Telecoms Network (FTN) applications, running alongside the rail track. These Network Rail approved trackside fibre cables are manufactured in accordance with standard NR/PS/TEL/00014.
The armoured cable variants provide protection from rodents as well as against the environmental and mechanical stresses they are required to withstand. They are also suitable for direct burial.
Trackside fibre cables are made up of Step-Index Single-Mode fibres, a loose tube Polyethylene (PE) fibre carrier, a single continuous non-metallic strength member, a waterblocking tape, a polyester tape separator, and a PE or LSZH sheathing.
The option to provide armouring for additional mechanical protection is available in the form of a corrugated steel and polymer laminated tape.
