U-1000 R2V & RVFV Cables
Our U-1000 R2V cable (also known as XV cable) and U-1000 RVFV cable (also known as XAV cable) are rigid unarmoured power and control cables used for the supply of electricity in a wide range of semi-industrial and industrial applications with a voltage rating of 600/1000V. This including lighting remote control and telecontrol installation systems, and other electrical devices.
This range is manufactured in accordance with French Norms (U-1000 R2V: NF C 32-322 / U-100 RVFV: NF C 32-321).
The U-1000 R2V cable can be fixed on cable trays, within conduits or to walls. The U-1000 RVFV is constructed with additional two layers of steel tape armouring and so can also be used outdoors and in direct burial installations or where additional protection against mechanical stresses is required. The U-1000 RVFV is not recommended for burial in areas that are flooded for more than two months per year or in trenches used as drains.

The smaller sizes are also available with a stranded copper (Class 2) conductor upon request. Cables are available with 2-core, 3-core, 3-core plus earth, 4-core, 5-core and 7-core copper conductors.
The R2V cable has a temperature rating of -10oC to +50oC during installation, before broadening to -25oC to +90oC when fixed. The RVFV has a range of -10oC to +60oC.
Class 2 stranded conductors are available on all sized cables on request.
